Music production is a huge and complex topic with endless details to learn. Our aim is to meet you where you are in your musical journey and help you take the next step to level up you productions. There is no set lesson plan or curriculum, rather we will focus on the areas of study that interest you the most.

Get creative and learn how to translate the idea that is in your mind into sound. House beats, fat bass lines, hiphop beats or gentle strummed guitar; whatever your music is, learn to take it up a notch.

Equip yourself with the knowledge and confidence to release your music out into the world.

Here's where it get's really fun - turning your repetitive 8-bar loop into a full song. Learn to create variations to keep your track interesting through audio and midi editing, pacing, sound design and automation.

The final stage of crafting a song and usually the last skills that a producer learns. Make your track come alive and sound great on a variety of speakers by learning the intricacies of EQ, compression and saturation.

LEARN REMOTELY

One on one lessons are held over the internet using Zoom, so you can learn from the comfort of your own home. This also allows us to use screen sharing so that you can see what is on the teacher's screen and vice versa.

1/2 HOUR LESSONS

We meet for 1/2 hour lessons where you will be shown new techniques by watching the tutor's screen, discus any questions that arise during the lesson or from the week and have a look at your own projects and be given ideas how to improve them.

Assignments will also be given out and you are welcome to email in any questions between lessons.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

You will need a decent computer. Not a phone or tablet, a computer!
You will need Zoom installed.
Headphones

If you are starting out then you need to install Ableton on your computer. There is a 3 month trial that you could use.
If you are more experienced and have your own workflow that uses a different program that is fine.
